Testimony
In 2005 my family moved to Nyankundi and I started in Kindergarten in 2006 as an older student. Unfortunately, my mother left our family at this time and I have never seen her since then. Since we had several children in our family, my Dad could not afford to send me to school so I worked odd jobs and paid for my schooling. After graduating from secondary school, I was without work for a year and began participating in the Youth Group and joined a choir associated with the hospital. During this time, I learned a lot and grew in my spiritual life.
What has God done in your life?
While attending Youth Group, I found out about Congo Impact and I applied to receive a scholarships. I was very surprised when I was chosen. I never thought that I would have this opportunity. Since being a part of Congo Impact, I have learned a lot from the leaders and grown in my respect for God’s Word. I have seen a change in my life and the lives of others.
What are you doing now?
I just completed by degree in nursing from ISTM Bunia.
What do you want to do after graduating?
Being part of this program has given me an understanding of my value in the society where before I felt marginalized. My intention now is to help educate others while participating in the development of our community through healthcare.
