Family Background

My father died when I was young so I grew up an orphan. I lived with my uncle but he died some years ago. I grew up in Nyankunde and did all my schooling there before going to Shalom university. I also participated in the church and youth activities in Nyankunde.

What have you been doing since graduating?

I am still finishing up a couple things in Bunia but I also teach computers at the nursing school in Nyankunde. I would love to be able to start a computer center in Nyankunde but I am still working with some others on the plans and finances it would take to make it possible.

How has Congo Impact helped the students in the program?

Congo Impact has helped us to complete our studies and be respected by others. It has helped us to grow in our faith and our field and to be mentors and teachers of others as well. Congo Impact has also helped us to stay close to the Lord and continually thank Him for His grace for us. The program really encourages us to grow in Christian character. It also paid for our education, living expenses and gave us a computer to complete our work. I am a thankful child for their provision.

How will access to computers help the people of Nyankunde?

People need to learn how to use computers. They need to get out of the ignorance they are in and be exposed to the world through computers and the internet.
