Family Background

I have a wife and three children. I was born in Bunia and lived in Nyankunde too. We left Nyankunde after the war. My family is Catholic. I studied in a Catholic school seminary to be a priest. I did not agree with some of the Catholic doctrine. I tried to talk to my teachers about the issues but they saw it as disrespectful. I then became a protestant. I prayed with my pastor in Beni and realized I can continue with my calling to be a leader in the church, just now in the protestant church.

How has God been working in your life?

I have been a part of a prayer group at church and that has helped us to give all aspects of our lives to God and to allow God to transform us. I play guitar and help lead worship. I am very active in choirs. I also started working as a Deacon in the church. The elders in the church are really encouraging me in my time in seminary and my preparation to be a pastor.

How is your sponsor helping you?

My sponsor helps me very much because he allows me to fulfill my vocation and calling from God. My church would not be able to pay for me to go to school but they desire to have me to pursue my vocation. And even now I am preaching in my church and leading activities in my church. When I finish my studies I hope to continue to serve and lead in my church and also to invest in others with what I have learned.

What do you want to say to Congo Impact?

Thank you. I don’t have words to thank you for your initiative and impact on Congo. You are helping us Congolese and it helps not only our life but the lives of people around us. I don’t know how to say thank you enough for all you do but I know that God will bless you.
