Family Background

I was born in Nyankunde two months premature. I live in Nyankunde with my mother but my father lives somewhere else. I received my secondary school diploma in 2014. I am currently a secretary at the secondary school. I am taking conversational English classes locally to begin learning English.

How have you been growing spiritually?

I attend church regularly and serve as a Sunday school teacher. Teaching others helps me to grow in my spiritual life.

How is your sponsor helping you?

Until now I have been under qualified to teach. As a result of the sacrifice of my sponsor I am able to learn English and how to teach English.

How will your education allow you to help the people of Nyankunde?

When I complete my degree I want to return to Nyankunde and teach at the secondary school. I will be able to not only teach English but also to train the other teachers and increase the standard of education in Nyankunde. We really need to increase the level of education here. Also, perhaps one day I can be a professor and train teachers more formally.
