Why do you want to be a teacher?
I thought about what our area needs and I know that it will help to have another educated secondary school teacher. It seemed like biology and chemistry were areas that did not have qualified teachers so I decided to choose that so that one day I can fill that need. At the university they also taught how to be leaders in our community.
How has God been working in your life?
I was born in Nyankunde on September 1st, 1992. My parents Daniel and Louise are Christians and they helped me to grow up in the fear of God. They taught me how to behave. What has been really important in my life is realizing that it is not enough to just grow up in a Christian family. I did receive Jesus at four or five years old but on the 24th of April two years ago I really met the Lord following the death of my husband. I had seen that God was talking to me in a dream and showing me that things are not working well but Jesus came to me, took my hand and said I need to receive life in him. That day I received Jesus and know that He is walking with me. Even as I grieve the loss of my husband God is with me. He has helped me with all the difficulties I have experienced mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Praying to God gave me the strength to continue in my life and my studies and helped me to succeed. God made me strong. When people ask how I can make it through all of this I say I know it is God.
What do you want to say to your sponsors?
I thank my sponsors for the sacrifice that they made for me. I am thankful that they have chosen me and accepted me. I am like their child. They think of me as if I was theirs. I know it is because of God and because we are one in Christ.
