Family Background

I grew up in a family that didn’t know God but since then they have all come to know the Lord and that helped us to grow as a family in God. My parents did a lot of bad things before they came to know Christ. For example, my father had a lot of wives and a lot of children. There were a lot of us and there was a lot of strife in the family. But in 2009 I gave my life to Christ and then in 2010 when Sarah, from Congo Impact, came for the first time I really understand the Word and began to grow in my faith.

What is something good that is happening in your life?

I didn’t know before if I would be able to study at the university and then I got this blessing that is really unforgettable to me. I had my tuition paid for, a laptop and some money to help with academic fees. I see others that really struggle because they do not have money to pay. Thank you to Congo Impact.

What challenges did you face?

I lived a long way from school and went every day by foot. I was about 5 km, 3 miles, each way. It was also difficult to get enough books but someone helped me with a Kindle which will allow me to buy cheaper books.

What do you want to do once you graduate?

I hope to help in the community of Nyankunde now that I have finished my studies. I want to help people in the hospital and help others with their needs as I have been helped.

What do you want to say to your sponsor?

I thank you for the good will of helping me and considering me as your own child. It is not easy to support someone to go to the university and it really touches my heart.
