Family Background

I was born in Nyankunde into a Christian family. My father is a teacher and my mother is a seamstress. I started primary school in Nyankunde but then we came to Bunia after the war. After things calmed down we returned to Nyankunde and I finished secondary school there.

What is something for which you are thankful?

I thank God for the life He has given me. I thank the team of Congo Impact for choosing me. There are a lot of people who could have had this opportunity and I really feel blessed by God’s grace in allowing me to be a part of the program.

What is a challenge that you face?

There are some difficulties at the school because we depend on traveling teachers who come from other universities and towns to teach us. Sometimes they come late and we have to start classes late and then we finish late.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

Once I finish my studies, because of what Congo Impact is doing for me, I can work in the hospital and be a big help to people.

How have your sponsors helped you?

I began my studies on my own but now it is a big help to have my tuition and living expenses paid for. Because of them I can continue to pursue my goal of becoming a doctor. It is a blessing to be chosen among so many. My God bless my sponsors and accompany them in all they do.
