Family Background

I grew up in a non-Christian family. My father left our family when I was two years old. I was raised by my mother and grandparents. I suffered many illnesses when I was a child. My first year of secondary school I was healed by God’s grace. I was displaced by the war but then we returned to Nyankunde. Here my mom became a Christian and led us to Christ. This really encourages me to be a spiritual mentor and help to others. I have three sons, the first are twins.

What ministries are you involved in at Nyankunde?

I currently help with Sunday school and youth activities. I was voted in as secretary of the youth work. I also do theater evangelism. We develop skits and presentations and then travel to perform and share the Gospel with other youth. I have eighteen youth in the theater program that I mentor and train. I have also started a radio program called “my family” to help people understand how to raise their children in the Lord.

How has Congo Impact helped you?

Through Congo Impact, my sponsor has given me the finances to be able to go to the university and complete my studies. Now I am able to serve my community by giving medical care to children. While caring for children physically I am also able to minister to them spiritually. Overall, Congo Impact helps equip us to make a difference in our community. By allowing us to continue our education they are investing in the future of Nyankunde and DR Congo.

Where are you currently working?

I have just been hired at the CME hospital. I have completed my three month training. They have decided to keep me on staff long term.
